Athlete Success Stories

The mental coaching I have received from Eli was a game changer. I started off this programme having almost lost hope with ever getting over my performance anxiety and motivation to train anymore because of the fear and anxiety that had become apart of my training. With Eli I was able to learn so much about myself, my triggers and most importantly how to build up my own confidence so that the things I had learnt will stay with me and become apart of my lifestyle and not just exercises. In three months I accomplished more mentally than I could have ever thought possible with proof of it working with my performances.I highly recommend Eli to anyone struggling mentally with their sport. It helps to have someone who has been through it themselves that you can not only relate with but that takes the time to understand you as a person and how your brain works to find strategies that will stick with you in the long run. Thanks Eli!

“My 12 year old son started working with Eli 3 months ago. He’s a pretty good baseball player but can be his own worst enemy at times. Started working with Eli because he was having a hard time getting past some rough patches he had on the mound. Since starting with Eli, now he looks forward to pressure situations and tough competition, both as a hitter and pitcher. Moreover, rather than letting failures define him, he now uses them as motivation. Eli has given him the tools to develop real confidence and the ability to handle pressure and failure so as to perform to the best of his ability. I can’t recommend Eli enough. He’s an invaluable resource for any athlete.”

–Lou | Baseball Dad

“Hi Eli, cannot believe that the last session is today. Thanks for working with him, I think he had made a lot of positive progress, for baseball mindset, and to leverage these learnings as he encounters challenges growing up.”

-Allen | Baseball Dad

“Eli was an awesome mental game coach. He helped my racing career go from amateur to professional level. I hired him to help get me mentally prepared for my first pro race with IMSA at Petit Le Mans. With literally a million spectators, I was really feeling the pressure and got extremely overwhelmed. With Eli’s help before, during, and after my race, I was able to get out of my own head and focus on my driving. Because he helped me step up my mental game, I was able to podium in my first MX-5 Cup race, receiving top finishing female! If it wasn’t for the strategies he taught me, I can safely say that I would’ve crumbled under pressure, blowing my only opportunity to show my talent behind the wheel.”

-Sally | MX-5 Driver

“When I reached out to Eli to ask if he could help an athlete my son’s age, and explained the struggles I was observing, he let me know that our challenges were pretty common. Eli helped tackle some of the biggest challenges our son was facing, through consistency and practice. We saw a great deal of improvement in our son’s performance and attitude. The paradigm shift that Eli taught him is one that we use to this day and one that we have used outside of the sports environment as well. We had a great experience working with Eli and so did our son!”

FAQ

The main difference between sports psychologist and a sport psychology coach/mental performance coach is that a sports psychologist, or a performance psychologist must hold a PhD and be licensed to practice psychology. A performance psychologist and a sports psychologist both use the same kinds of tools and techniques which are taught within this program. We use the same kinds of practices that you would find working with a sports psychologist.

Do any of these resonate with you:

  • You are performing better in practices than games.
  • You are currently struggling with performance anxiety, fear of failure, perfectionism, or any other mental game challenge.
  • You have a difficult time letting go of mistakes. You have an uncontrollable negative and self-critical voice in your head.
  • You want to add an additional aspect to your training that will give you an edge over the competition.
  • You have lost the love for the game and are wanting to get it back.
  • You know you are better than you’ve been performing, and you just don’t understand what’s holding you back.
  • You feel like you play with your foot on the brake, unable to let yourself go and play with confidence.
  • You struggle with low confidence and believing in yourself.

If so, then this program is a perfect fit!

Since the work is custom and specifically tailored to you, it’s difficult to quantify an exact result you will get.

With that being said, the common results include: increased confidence, decreased performance anxiety, increased focus, increased mental toughness, and more composure under pressure.

Yes! The mind is universal and not specific to one sport. While it may seem as though your anxiety is specific to hitting a baseball or your low confidence is only due to shooting a basket, the underlying driving forces are the same no matter what sport you play.

My approach is to strengthen the mind using mental training tools and techniques. These can be applied to you no matter what sport you play.
